What Users Are Saying
I've had the Axis 10.5 for four years, and I think it must be one of the most capable rec kayaks on the market. The slight rocker makes it very maneuverable with the skeg up on fast narrow rivers to avoid sweepers and strainers, and for a bit of fun on occasional class 2 rapids. The hard chine lets me hold a fairly aggressive edge. Yet it's so stable I can put a friend who has never kayaked before in it on flatwater and they'll have a great time. Tracks nicely with the skeg deployed too. My other boats are a homemade skin on frame Platt Monfort designed 'Arrow 14' (iykyk) solo canoe and a P&H Volan 160.
