Overview

The Dagger Indra is here to transform your paddling experience. A familiar and confident bow is built to rise over drops, waves, and hydraulics. A wide planing hull keeps the kayak on top of the water and a tapered deck allows the boat to slice through currents, load the stern, and skip through rapids. Camber in the wide tail turns the momentum of a climbing bow into controlled and playful downstream acceleration.
Smooth, fast, predictable, and playful, the Indra is bound to be a modern classic. This boat has brought a new excitement to low water / local paddling. I was getting complacent in my creek boat, but now in the Indra I can load the stern, launch off waves, pivot around features and move back and forth across the river with ease. This kayak puts a smile on my face every day I paddle it!

Simply put, if I had to paddle only one boat for the rest of my life, this would be it. The Indra, is many ways, feels like a new dimension of kayaking. It necessitates a different approach. I have never paddled a boat that is so easy to keep on the surface, or that so regularly sky rockets off waves. This boat is also the ultimate instrument of progression, I feel like I become a better kayaker every time I get in it. The Indra is an absolute quiver killer; it has enough bow rocker and stern volume to confidently run hard class V, while still having engaging enough edges and speed to make class 3 fun for all ability levels. This is my go to boat if I'm looking to have a chill lap on my local play run, or have the most fun I possibly can on class V. It has many of the features I have come to know and love in Dagger's creek boats while adding a bit of speed and maneuverability that comes from a lower volume stern that you would find in a typical creek boat.

I love my S/M Indra! I am 125lbs and 5’7”. The Indra is a high performance creek boat. It’s a playful kayak that is stable, super responsive, and it is confidence inspiring. It’s my go to boat for just about any whitewater run from class 2 to Class 5.

The Indra is my new favorite Class 5 boat! The rocker allows me to skip over holes. The stern sinks to allow me to lift the bow easily for boofs. There is enough volume that the stern doesn’t get messed with when paddling down river. The Indra gets up to speed quickly and its sharp edges allow for effortless carving. It surfs well and its planing hull spins nicely on waves and in holes. The Indra will take care of you in big rapids and also is a lot of fun when you catch a surf during your day!

The Indra is a new acquisition for me, so my seat-time in it is limited. That being said, oh my lord! This is the boat I've been waiting (begging) for. The rocker profile and width are insane! The comfort while paddling is second to none, and the fun factor this craft brings to your local river should probably be illegal. I primarily boat in the PNW, and the Dagger Indra seems uniquely suited for our local flavor of whitewater. Big holes, large shoulders, and fast, strong currents are what this boat craves. It's designed to carve, and this is evident in its stability while on edge in big water. Riding high in the water with the nose several inches above the surface, the Indra is incredibly nimble and sure-footed through large hydraulics. The carving boof that one learns as they integrate into this craft leaves a bigger smile than a cold beer at the end of a long day, and the surfing options are limitless. This is a quiver-killing kayak and will be a joy on low-volume, big-volume, or really anything with water. The handling is superb due to the Indra's planing hull and hard-edged, tapered stern. The looks are out of this world, and the outfitting/paddler position will keep you on the water long after your crew starts complaining about sciatic nerves and numb feet. I have nothing but good things to say about this kayak after 5 months of use. I'd say check back in a year, but we already know the conclusion; Dagger knocked this one out of the park and past the parking lot. I give the Dagger Indra an 11/10. Do yourself a favor and sit in this boat; you'll buy it.

Great all around kayak to give you confidence on big water and your backyard run. Super fun to make eddy moves, launch off of waves, do massive lean boofs, and generally zip around the river.

Arguably the most progressive kayak Dagger has ever built. The new thigh hooks are incredible, but this hull…. It’s fast, it skips harder than the phantom, has more rocker than anything I’ve ever seen, and has the nimbleness of a half slice on the water. It’s a dream downriver. Ps: don’t expect to stern squirt it, but it can be done ;)

Boofs like a champ, super fast coming out of drops, and really nimble. I found in one instance that the volume right behind the seat protected me from a backender, and caused the boat to pop out of the drop going forward instead of up lol. Solid outfitting as well, super comfortable. Overall, quality boat!

My new all time favourite kayak. I find that I am more comfortable in this kayak than my creekboat. It's super manoeuvrable with the tapered stern and stays high and dry with the added rocker. It's sick to kickflip and freewheel, but also paddle hard class 5

There's a new kayak genre in town, and it's changing the way we paddle. Dagger's version of the quarter-slice creeker now brings a US-made platform to the style, with the outfitting standard that only Dagger can produce. This boat has completely stolen real estate from both my Rewind and my Code, and has become my go-to boat for instruction, long cruises, pushy whitewater, and most creeks. The kayak paddles like a half-slice, where bow-flicks and stern-loading is the way to get the job done. The negative rocker at the tip of the stern acts as a wheelie-bar, allowing a loaded stern to produce astonishing lateral acceleration, that when controlled, has changed the game on how to accelerate out of drops and carry momentum. The flat mid-section produces a skimboard-like skip and glide sensation, and paired with the tip-to-tip edges, makes for the longest carves I've experienced. The bow rocker is aggressive, allowing for a dry paddling experience and the ability to climb up over any feature, and the parting line from the flat mid-section to the kick rocker on the stern allows paddlers to use adjustments of pelvic tilt fore and aft to bunny hop and boost this kayak across every eddyline and over every feature, all the way down the river. While the boat is aggressive and sporty in the way it's paddled, the width, volume, and general vibe of the boat gives an incredibly stable stance even in big, pushy water. If confidence and swagger had a baby, they would name it Indra.

This boat is SO MUCH FUN! Combining the elements of play from other boats like the Supernova and the stability and predictability of the Code this turns into a beast! Great for downriver freestyle and getting creative on new moves, enough volume to take over big drops, and a hull that shines on big water! This has turned into my every day creeker!
