I love my Hobie Outback Kayak. I have been using it for an entire season now. I can't wait to get back out in it. A very stable and roomy platform for fishing. I have been fishing from a canoe for almost over 30 years and from a kayak for the past ten years ( when my kids would let me go out alone) and was ready for an upgrade. I love paddling but recently with a shoulder injury, the Outback has been a blessing. Yes, it was more expensive than the other yaks I looked at. Buy once and well, cry once and done. After purchasing a passport 10.5 for my wife. I knew Hobie was what I wanted to settle on. We were used to transporting our other kayaks and canoe on the roof and still wanted the option of pulling a travel trailer. The outback is light enough to rooftop them. Looking forward to doing some minor mods. But every pleased that access ports and hatches are already provided with plenty of H-rail and track space as well for mounting any needed accessories. So need to drill holes.
