I'm Andy Convery, the face behind Echo Paddles. I am father to three young boys and partner to Jess. We're a paddling family and Echo is a family business driven by my passion for being outdoors, sculpting, teaching, paddling and working with my hands. After a career as a professional sculptor, I started working on the river guiding wilderness trips in 1991. What makes EchoPaddles so unique is that I have been an avid canoe tripper, play boater and slalom racer for many years alongside my art making and woodworking. I am constantly refining what makes a great design so that everyone who uses an Echo can have an amazing experience on the water.

Overview

This large curved blade provides good power and a smooth pull for both tandem and solo boats. It is an all rounder for everything from trips in loaded tandem boats to solo river running and slalom. Its low profile back, spine and thin edges feather beautifully for underwater recovery when running slalom gates, yet it is robust enough for extended wilderness travel. Available in wood shaft and blade, carbon shaft/wood blade, carbon blade/wood shaft and full carbon.

What Users Are Saying

Echo paddles have the crisp feel of a high performance slalom blade that stands up to rivers and rocky creeks. My Echo blade is entering its third year and when I wanted the feel of a new blade without those rounded corners I just sent it back for a tune up. It came back looking new- can't say enough about them!
