I'm Andy Convery, the face behind Echo Paddles. I am father to three young boys and partner to Jess. We're a paddling family and Echo is a family business driven by my passion for being outdoors, sculpting, teaching, paddling and working with my hands. After a career as a professional sculptor, I started working on the river guiding wilderness trips in 1991. What makes EchoPaddles so unique is that I have been an avid canoe tripper, play boater and slalom racer for many years alongside my art making and woodworking. I am constantly refining what makes a great design so that everyone who uses an Echo can have an amazing experience on the water.

Overview

A slalom racing paddle designed with input from North American Open Boat Slalom Champion Andy Walker. It has very thin edges and an "airplane wing" back face for a slippery underwater recovery, providing remarkable control when steering from the bow. The foam core carbon blade is remarkably light and bouyant, yet protected by Echo's legendary aluminum tip and synthetic edging for durability.
The Concept is Echo's lightest whitewater paddle. Designed for running slalom gates, it also makes a great river running paddle for the accomplished paddler looking for a precision stick. The foam core carbon blade and hollow carbon shaft make it light and stiff, while the aluminum tip and dynel edging make it tough enough for whitewater use.

What Users Are Saying

Echo paddles have the crisp feel of a high performance slalom blade that stands up to shallow rivers and rocky creeks. My Echo blade is entering its third year and I just sent it back for a tune up. It came back looking new and ready for another season of abuse. Can't say enough about them!
