But Brian was a visionary, and as time went by, he saw the need for better boats and equipment for true kayak enthusiasts. It was at this moment in the late 1970’s Current Designs was born. Today, Current Designs and its parent company Wenonah Canoe continue to operate with the same values that trace back to their first boats; innovation, superior construction, performance, and extraordinary service.

Overview

The Libra XT has all the features you need for extensive touring or family outings. The middle cockpit can accommodate a child, or carry a raft of expedition gear for the most luxurious adventure. Long and deep, the Libra XT always gives a comfortable ride. The watertight bow and stern compartments, along with the self-contained middle compartment, offer tremendous capacity. The Libra XT's efficient hull design is easy to paddle and provides ample stability. The XT has proven itself with many tour operators where safety, seaworthiness, comfort, carrying capacity and quality construction are essential. The Libra XT comes equipped with two mid-bulkheads in addition to the bow and stern bulkheads, enclosing the center cockpit area. If you plan to take your family out on the water the XT gives you room, safety features and quality you can have confidence in.
