What Users Are Saying
Recently, purchased a Clipper Caribou S kevlar ultralite. Have about 25 hours in it so far in grade one conditions. Spent some time doing some artistic play and find it very enjoyable. Turns are quick and with the fair flat bottom it slides and leans well. My weight is 173lbs so when paddling with no gear the canoe is on top of the waves which means centre of gravity down. The bench seat works very well and I can alternate legs easily. I footbrace of foam upfront is all you need. With a bent shaft paddle you can sit and switch with 2 to 4 strokes per side depending on wind and currents. The canoe is reasonably fast even with a tender J stroke. Keeping your forward stroke close in works best. Waiting to try it in whitewater.
