Overview

The Cirrus Ultralight 150 is 15’ long, yet weighs only 18 pounds - it’s a true tandem kayak designed with the extreme light weight and stowability of a pack raft that offers unparalleled speed and performance. It’s Aquaglide’s lightest tandem touring kayak thanks to the TPU/ Nylon construction and TPU drop-stitch floor. This technology yields minimal weight in a kayak that doesn’t sacrifice an ounce of performance. This boat comes with a compression storage bag for packability in extra tight spaces and serves double duty as a drybag for clothing and gear. The Cirrus 150 is designed with ease of transport in mind, perfect for as a 2-person tandem kayak, but also for solo paddling, with a furry friend, or loaded down with gear.

Cirrus 150 is a superb kayak and brilliantly designed with TPU. It is astoundingly light -- from 1/3 to 1/2 the weight of most two-person PVC vinyl kayaks. And it folds so easily and takes up about 1/3 of the space of my other PVC vinyl kayak. I was sold and a total convert after one outing. A great feature is the carrying case that also doubles as a dry bag. Brilliant. If you don't care about weight or carrying size, then don't spend the money on this yak and buy a traditional PVC vinyl. But who doesn't care about weight and size? This thing can travel anywhere! It takes up so much less space in the back of my car than my PVC vinyl yak. Way less. And the Cirrus 110 is even lighter and smaller. I needed wheels to get my other two person yak to the lake or river. One person can carry the 150, and with a person at each end it feels like a feather. In photos the seats look like they may be kind of kiddie poolish. Not at all. They inflate quite well and provide terrific support underbutt and in their backrest. And they are sturdy and well built. I had the Cirrus 150 on a reservoir today in the Rockies and it tracks straight as an arrow. The drop stich floor is rock solid, as are the side tubes, which inflate to 3 psi, the floor to 6 psi. To make matters even better, the drop-stitch floor is easily removed, which really helps when cleaning. And the TPU does not have the hard feeling as in pack rafts, but has a very nice silky smooth texture to it. There is a nice drain valve (Boston Valve) in the stern if you want to quickly drain out some water from the hull. Great for potential use when needing to stop and drain the boat when on the water, but the drain really helps when cleaning or hosing down the yak. In summation, this is my favorite inflatable yak for sure!
