A 15 foot Grumman my perfect length for fishing. It allows 2 fishermen to help each other and to hand things back and forth. My 1973 is the lightweight model, making fishing alone easier.

This was my first boat, purchased new from the Bemidji, MN dealer in March 1972 as it had been on the display rack since the previous year. $250 at that time, and we modified the boat racks on Dad's new 1970 Travelall to carry it beside his Sportboat. It rode with me on '67 and '69 VW Squarebacks, a '66 Rambler Cross Country Wagon, and other rigs in Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. Great fun to fish with it in MN, since a fish on the line could pull it around. It was a standard weight in dark green, pleasant for solo paddling (better solo from the bow seat, closer to center, so stern becomes bow). When I retired from AK, it stayed behind.
