What Users Are Saying
This is a very overlooked kayak. During my search, i've visited review pages researching and looking for the best for me a solo sit in inflatable kayak. I'm 5'10" @ 165 lbs. After looking into several higher end inflatables, I decided on this model. What I liked: Light weight portability rigidity maneuverability design performance What I didn't like: nothing really. I live in central California's capital city where we have access to several lakes and rivers. I purchased this kayak late last summer of 2022. I've had a chance to use this before the cold winter months and am very satisfied with it's performance. For the first time had the chance to take it out on Folsom lake in Sacramento where at the time was packed with water skiers, speed boats, and jet skiers. The water was extremely choppy and there was a breezy day. This kayak stayed true to its course. Tracking was awesome. I was able to go out several times before it got too cold to paddle. I did order my dry suits for winter weather outting (if you can all Sacramento winter- winter) I finally received my dry gear as christmas presents and was excited to go out and paddle. The rain gods answered by delivering a deluge of water drenched storms through the first 2 weeks of January 2023. I drove out to the lower American River in Sacramento and WOW. The river was swollen. All that water. I definitely didn't waste any time getting out in all my gear and my Evo. Through class i and II waters, this kayak was just the right gear to enjoy what mother nature delivered. Packed with a dry bag and a deck bag with water and sandwiches. I enjoyed every yard of this 18 mile journey that took me about 5 hours. Taking the time in between to coast and rest to enjoy the scenery. The Airfuson Evo was a delight to paddle. For my height and weight, this is the perfect kayak. The 235 lb limit is perfect for someone like me and an overnight with 60lbs of gear. Highly recommend this product for recreation, touring and short expeditions (maybe 2 days max).
