Overview

Named after the Native Americans that inhabited Old Town, Maine, since before recorded history – and from whom we’ve gained immeasurable boat-building knowledge – the Penobscot pays homage to their superb craftsmanship, design and navigational skills. The Penobscot’s nearly plumb ends, shallow arch bottom and slight rocker have made it a sleek, nimble tripping canoe for solo or tandem paddlers.

What Users Are Saying

Gotta love an Old Town. I took this canoe on a small lake with my daughter, who is 7, and was a bit nervous about how it would balance. To my surprise (and pleasure) neither of us fell out, despite having a child climbing around in the canoe the entire time.
